After requesting pac code to leave ee i had a call that offered good discount

Hi I got offered a great deal to stay with ee after requesting my pac code the day before, but when I asked agent if I could keep my friends and family discount I was told that I would be better to add it later if I knew someone working for ee as he couldn't add at the time of order due to the discounts given to handset and plan ect. Is this true as the person who I know that works at ee says that f&f has to be added before new contract is taken out?

Also maybe I should add I have been with ee for many years and already had the friends and family discount

It's great to hear you have found a good deal.

If you already have friends and family discount on your account before upgrading this will carry over as long as the employee still works within the business.

Friends and family discount cannot be added after point of sale.
