My phone contract is named as an ‘essential plan £49’ this is stated on my ee plan. However, they are taking £51.33 every month instead. What is going on 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is almost certainly the annual price rise - which is explained here

Your rise seems to be around the 4.8% mark

If you check the Plan link below, is the "Monthly cost" nearer £49 or £51.33 ?

In my case, my plan includes £25 in its name as the base cost but a discount puts the monthly cost at £20.83 when the Direct Debits are taken at exactly £20. In my case, the 83p appears to be a bug on the website as it disagrees with my PDF bills.
