Historic EE Debt on Credit File

I have noticed a historic EE debt on my credit file from 2015. I have no idea what the number was or anything to do with the account.

What can I do?

@SamuelLeeWilson I would suggest contacting the credit reference company to ask for further information regarding it and then if things are not right raising a dispute with them & they will then investigate the matter on your behalf. 😉

You mentioned this debt is from 2015. Is that when the 'account' defaulted?

Reason I ask is that credit reference agencies hold this information for six years meaning it would perhaps be due to come off your file this year anyway.

But if you know nothing about this account, you're right to raise and have it investigated.
