Then do so. Just pay the extras directly on a card. The DD will be auto taken anyway.

Hi @Cooky1111 ,

As you're cutting things extremely close, I recommend to inform both your bank and the service provider of the situation.

Check if you already have an active overdraft facility with your bank and request a small one on the condition there is no charge or credit reference impact if they action. If an overdraft will cover your Direct Debit, there is nothing to worry about.

The simplest solution is to ask a favour from a friend or relative to transfer an amount into your account to cover the Direct Debit.

The situation you want to avoid is paying a proportion of the bill but having the Direct Debit taking the full amount so that you double-pay on a proportion and have even less money than if you'd taken no action at all. Good luck! 😃

@Cooky1111 wrote:

Is the 15th your bill date or payment-due date?

Bearing in mind this is a public internet forum and no-one on here has any access to your specific account - if there are insufficient funds in your bank account on the payment due date, then it's between you & your bank as to whether that payment is honoured (incurring overdraft fees) or is bounced. EE will generally retry a failed payment (I think - but others will confirm) 7 days later.

Regardless of this general advice - I would strongly recommend calling EE C/S on 150 to discuss your specific circumstances ASAP. Any manual payments you make prior to your bill date will be reflected in that bill, and consequently your auto-payments. Once the bill is produced, the direct debit process is started and manual payments will not affected it.
