About previous phone number

I got my sim card from EE, and when I ordered this sim card, I wrote down my phone number and get the PAC code that was approved.

But when I get the sim card and my phone represent another number.

In the instruction, iPhone should change the phone number in the setting. and I followed that but it is not changing.

So How should I use my previous number?

and I want to finish my proceed of sign in EE. my last step is to verify my number and I could not use my previous phone number, I could not finish my sign in step.

@kimminwoo190 Your EE sim will have a different number until your have your number ported across. You can not have 2 sims with the same number. You can not change the number within the iPhone settings as that gets the number from the SIM card. The best way to sort this is to call customer services and give them your PAC code. Do not activate iMessage or face time till your number is ported across.
