5g sim 4g phone

I want to order a new sim only plan, all sims are 5g and my phone is 4g. Does a 5g sim work in a 4g phone (several people seem to be having problems) or as I don't actually want a new sim just the deal can I just not put the new sim card in when it comes and leave the one I have in my phone

Thanks for coming to the community.

If you are changing to a 5G SIM Only plan this should not come with a new SIM card, if you are upgrading.

The SIM will work in a 4G phone for you, it will be the plan that changes to a 5G ready plan.
