No service for a week+

I have had no service on my phone for 10 days. It started after the last Android update installed; I can't even use the phone on my home wifi network as the microphone doesn't seem to be working - anyone I ring cannot hear my voice. Text messages and WhatsApp still work.

I have ordered a new sim, registered it, put it in - 24+ hours later, no change.

What can I do to make the phone work? This is absolutely ridiculous.

@Martin122 Have you tried factory restoring it ?

Hi @Martin122 ,

You've observed that the issue happened after an Android update and I would agree that is the most logical root cause.

I would recommend doing a search of the model of your device against the software version you have upgraded to in case it is a known issue with a known solution.

I recently upgraded from Android 10 to Android 11 and took care to confirm other users reported it as known-good before installing myself.
