Samsung Status 'My Phone Number' different

on my samsung S5

going Settings => About Device = Status => My Phone Number is different from actual number i use. Why is this different?

Reason i ask is that whn i use the same SIM card in A41 its shows the same number as the Settings => About Device = Status => My Phone Number and i thought it was wrong.

Hi @MOF,

Your phone may show the number of the first SIM card it was activated with in your settings. This shouldn't affect any of the phone's features.

I cannot log onto my Samsung account and need to re-set via verification code, the number Samsung is sending the code to is in the number registered on my device in About Phone which is different to what my mobile number is. I need to change the number registered on my mobile to my current number so I can receive my verification code and re-set my Samsung account. How can this be done please.

Hi Jon, no not new number always had the same phone number on all my contracts and my number has always been correct in About Phone on all my previous handsets. I have just upgraded to a new phone but for some reason number on phone not the same as my current number.

Can you try restarting the phone?
