I have a similar issue. My phone is lost and I want to block the IMEI. The, purchased from Very. I use a SIM from 1pmobile which runs off the EE network.

1pmobile have said "As we do not deal with the handsets themselves we cannot block the IMEI numbers, this is something that is generally done by the bigger networks who run on contacts."

Wondering if EE can help?

If you can get in touch with our Customer Care team, they will be able to block your SIM card and check what the next steps would be in regards to your phone.

Regardless of which network operator provides 1p-Mobile's coverage, if you're a customer of 1p-Mobile, it is they who hold all your account details and should be your point of contact.

For 1p-Mobile to refer you to a company with whom you don't have any customer account, for blocking your device, seems at best very suspect.

Regardless of which piggyback provider and/or host network operator you substitute in this scenario, the same should apply. If a Tesco Mobile customer had a device problem, I wouldn't expect Tesco to expect that customer to contact O2.

@gcacbob EE don’t know who you are as you don’t have an account with EE and EE don’t know if that device is used by you. You network provider is only using EE to give its customers a signal other than that you have no association with EE whatsoever. Your network provider should be sorting this for you even if they have to contact EE to block the device.
