Hi @mike-bailey

If this is the EE Signal box you're referring to, then it's effectively a 3G microcell that connects to EE's central network using your broadband connection and any phone that requires an EE signal to work - which includes MVNOs - should be able to use it.

The only complication is that, if the registration of the box is linked to your EE account and that ceases to exist by virtue of a port-out, then the box may become deactivated.

It's worth mentioning that these signal boxes are long since legacy technology, and when EE's 3G network is switched off (this is still a while away yet), they will cease working completely.

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me

I have gone over to BT (reluctantly) as they were the only one with a suitable TV package and I must say their CS seem a lot better than when I was with them before.

I have a signal booster box and when I plugged it in to the new BT router it went RED then quick flashing GREEN and then steady GREEN all in less than 5 mins (was not expecting that) and it works perfect on my EE SIMs

If I now change my EE SIM to BT ( I can get a £5 disscount, every little helps) does anyone know if I will be able to use the booster box

Put simply Will BT SIM work on a EE Signal Booster Box

Hi

Thanks for reply

When we first had this EE Signal Box we had to ring EE and get it registered, we decided to change over to BT and EE said that it would still work on the BT Internet but we would have to ring the tech line to get it back on line. Last week the new BT router arrived and I unplugged the old EE one and pluged in the new BT router, but before I got chance to ring BT it was up and running. So its an EE box on the BT internet registered to "who knows" but working great. I will ask BT if it will work but as you say it should.

Thanks for your help
