When is the best time to use my PAC code?

Hi, hopefully someone on here can help me. I've spoken to different departments at EE, every single person I spoke to told me a different thing.

My contract ends on 27th April. If I leave EE before then with a PAC code, do I still have to pay until 27th April?

@GOL2 : I would say 2 working days before the end of your term. It takes about that for the new network to port your no. That will mean your EE contract will be cancelled after the min. term has expired & so you will have no early termination fees to pay.

You always have to pay EE up to 27th April as that's what you committed to. Using the PAC only avoids giving notice.

Hi, thanks for your reply. See, that's the thing different advisors at EE said I don't have to pay until the 27th, because there is a 35 day window, and I'm out of that now. So now I'll only pay for what I use. Everyone has told me a different thing. I guess now you're saying I'm still liable until 27th April but EE have said otherwise...

You've been told a load of baloney. There is a 45 day window to upgrade to another EE plan FOC, but that's not for cancelling EE completely.

EE staff really don't know what's going on, they've all said a different thing. :S

That's right, less 20% discount for the exempt VAT & the early payment.

Just read your contract, EE pay monthly network T&Cs. It's all written in there, albeit much more wordy than I would say, rather than listening to peeps.

Also, do you have any terms and conditions for March 2019?

Also, I just rang EE and they told me even if I cancel after my contract ends, I have to pay for 30 days, even though I'm not with them.. ?

No, I'm just a user like you.
All the T&C's can be found on Pay monthly network but there's not a great deal between them.
You only pay for the 30-day notice period if you cancel w/out using a PAC or STAC. Otherwise when you use them your EE contract is auto cancelled w/out giving any notice. That's the whole idea of them & why Ofcom mandated them; to save paying a notice period outside your contract term.

Hi @GOL2,

As @XRaySpeX mentioned, you'll need to pay up until your agreed contract end date.
