When to use pac to avoid ETF?

Hi all,

so my contract is completely up on 30/03/21. I do not wish to stay with EE so will be using a pac code to take my number with me. Considering it’ll take a day or two for new handset to arrive and pac to go over, I assumed there would end up being zero (or very little) early termination fees considering it’s only a few days away - however after texting INFO I’m told I will have to pay £88 odd pounds? How can this be correct?

If I wait until it’s the 30th to use my pac code and it takes a few days to process- will I also be charged an extra month on top?

what’s the best thing to do and when please community?

You can't avoid an ETF if you break your contract early. You can only avoid the notice period by using a PAC.

INFO is telling you your ETF as of today, i.e. leaving 3 days early.

Even if you used your PAC today, on a w/end, the no. won't be ported to the new network until Tues. at the earliest. So there should be no ETF. If it takes a bit longer you will just be charged pro-rata for the days over, not a whole month.
