What happens if you put your O2 SIM back in does it still work, if so, could've your Son has a SIM issue.

Other thing, on Dual Sims that support SIM and eSim, you have to physically switch between SIM or eSim within Sims settings on the Phone has that been switched back to Physical SIM, if it has what happens when your Son puts the SIM in the other SIM Slot.

If the phone has been locked it will normally ask for an Unlock Code when you put a foreign SIM in, as it's not asking for this it's either a Phone Settings issues as explain above or a Virgin SIM problem.

Did you do a Factory Reset before handing the phone over to your Son.

My old phone had an EE e-sim and an O2 sim, both of which worked.

Transferred my E-sim to my new phone.

Gave my old phone to my son who is with Virgin, it tells him his sim isn't recognised, network provider problem.

Does this mean that when I transferred the e-sim that the old phone then became locked to EE?
