Sim card

I have just upgraded my phone so passing my Huawei mate 20 Pro to my daughter who has a sim only contract but it won't register in the phone. I remember this happening when I upgraded to the Huawei from Samsung S7 & had to get new sim sent out so wondering how I do this as would like to keep her number the same.

Hi @StephLeighKoch

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "it won't register in the phone".

If this is an EE SIM in an ex-EE (or unlocked) phone, there is no reason it shouldn't work.

If you can explain what's happening, or if you're getting any error messages, someone on the community can probably advise further.

When I've put sim card into Huawei it won't recognise it just keeps symbol of no sim but works fine in a Nokia & Samsung phones

It is a EE sim on an EE phone

Hi @StephLeighKoch.

Is the SIM card definitely in the phone the correct way?

Have you tried cleaning it, then restarting the phone?
