EE new Sim. How can i activated it in Italy?

Good morning,
I found a new EE sim in my suitcase, it is new and never used.
I'm trying to activate it here in Italy, but I can't.
the problem is that it doesn't find any kind of network / data.
I need to activate it and know which operator it works with.
please wait for an answer.

@TruceLeo you cannot activate a Sim card whilst on a roaming network this has to be done whilst connected to the EE network directly.

Thanks for coming to the community.

@Chris_B is right, you need to be in the UK running on the EE network to successfully activate a SIM.

If you have already tried to activate this and it has not worked as soon as you return to the UK and pop it into your device the SIM will activate.
