i keep getting prompted to take out a 10gb data plan on the phone i only want to be able to make and receive calls whilst running why cant i pair it with out paying more i dont want to carry my phone whilst running

i have a phone contract with ee (runs out in march) i can not setup samsung phone on network keeps taking me to take out a new 10gb contract is this correct i dont want to pay more i only want to use it to make calls and txtxs when out running?

@jamabbott You can pair it without a contract but to receive calls/text and use data on the watch when your phone isn’t not with you the watch needs a cellular connection and to have that you have to have a contract.

You would need a 30-day smartwatch plan to use a cellular connection on your watch as @Chris_B has advised.

This would be £7.00 per month with 10GB of data.
