Upgrading pack - confused

Hi all,

I'm new to this community and wanted to ask a few questions as I plan on upgrading my SIM only pack.

I am thinking of upgrading from my 10 pound a month, 2GB 100min unlimited texts pack to the 24 month SIM Only pack of 5G 100GB, unlimited mins and texts for 20 pounds.

I was wondering about:

Is this possible to do while keeping my current number?

Can I apply my student discount code on this (20% discount)?

Why does the discount for current members on this pack redirect me back to this page (https://shop.ee.co.uk/what-do-you-want-to-do-today)? (goes from 20 to 18 pounds, 10% off)

Would I be posted a new SIM for this change?

Hello @Xynthexia.

Thanks for coming to the community.

You can move your pay as you go number to a pay monthly contract.

You can continue to use the same SIM once the upgrade has happened.

I would recommend texting SWITCH to 150 to see if your eligible for a discount.

Once you have selected a plan just add your voucher code at checkout to apply your discount and add your current pay as you go number to transfer your number.

I have texted SWTICH to 150 and it says that although I'm not eligible for a discount, I can still move over to a pay monthly contract.

I'm not yet 18, therefore I cannot currently move over to a pay monthly contract but do you know where I can use my student discount? It doesn't apply in the gift voucher section and I don't see a place in the checkout section?

Hello @Xynthexia.

To use your student discount you must be on a pay monthly plan.

This code from student beans must be entered within the 'I have a voucher' section.

Please be aware some plans may not be eligible for the discount.

I think I'll be switching to a pay monthly plan if my student discount is eligible when I turn 18.
