SIM suddenly stopped working

Today my SIM card stopped working powering off and back on doesn't fix it, will i need a new SIM?

Do you receive any error messages?

Are you on EE PAYG or pay monthly contract?

Did you purchase your device from EE?

Hi i did get a message flag up. Im on sim only pay monthly contract and my phone was purchased privately

What phone do you have, where did you buy it and how long have you owned it?

Can you try the SIM in another device.

I have just tried the SIM in my husbands phone and it's saying the same in his (no sim card) so i presume its the SIM......when I put his own sim back in it was fine

I've had my phone about 2 years a Samsung S7

It's very unusual that a pay monthly SIM just dies.
