It may be that you've already instigated your move, but did you use EE's switch to pay monthly service?

Ordered a new pay monthly SIM as I am currently on pay as you go rolling contract. I wanted to keep my original number. And they asked me if I would like to do so while giving my details. I received the SIM card through the post and it has a different number on the SIM card?? How do I keep my number like I asked for?
