My contracts ends fully 13th Nov can’t find a good deal on EE directly so the route I’m going is to buy a phone outright and put a sim in.

I requested my PAC which has been sent what will happen after the 13th will I still pay for my phone even though I’ve asked pretty much to leave on the phone.

I still may stay with EE sim only I know 30 days is what you have to give I’m just confused as what will happen after my contract finishes surely once it’s up I don’t pay no more just a final bill.

My new phone will take 2-3 weeks to arrive so I’ve got time to decide what’s good for me. Actually going to wait for Black Friday hopefully EE have a deal on sims round then.

I just don’t want to keep paying for my old contract when my new phone arrives. I also want to keep my exiting number

Thanks

Hi @JLH86

From the sounds of what you want to achieve, I would recommend you contact EE C/S close to your minimum term date and change your plan to a rolling 30day notice SIM-only.

As far as using your phone is concerned, that is just a change of payment plan and nothing else will change. You'll remain on 30days notice should you wish to give cancellation notice at any time & you can still request a PAC should you wish to move to another network.

If you then decide to remain with EE, I would recommend looking at the 12 or 24month SIM-only plans as they will offer better value than the 30day ones.

You can view all of EE's current SIM only plans here

Thats pretty much what i want to do. What i am trying to understand is the how much it will cost me if i leave it on a 30 day rolling contract.

Like most people at the end of a contact you do not want to pay double a month which can be costly i like to end my contract and be done really and look at my options.

Chap on the phone wasnt that helpful just tried getting me to stay with EE and slated other network providers which i wont name

Hi @JLH86,

If you switched to a SIM only plan, you wouldn't receive a double bill. You'd still be billed on the same date and your bill amount will take in to consideration when you switched to your new plan.

Hope this helps.

You can view all of EE's SIM only plans on their price guide here

So far as "overlapping" is concerned, disregard any "end of contract" concept for this - when you move to SIM-only from a handset-plan, it's just a change of payment plan.

So as one payment plan starts, the other one stops - you have one mobile number with one payment plan at a time.

I have a suspicion that 30day SIM only plans are not available online, so you would need to call EE C/S to request the change to that plan.

You can then remain on that plan until you want to make any other change.
