New sim card with upgrade phone

Hi,

I received my new phone this morning P30 pro new edition, upgraded from P20 pro and there was a new sim card with it.

Do I need to activate and use the new sim? I have put my old sim in the new phone and it seems to be working.

I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but any advice would be welcome.

Hi @Mariebailey0

A new SIM is often supplied with upgrade phones just incase, for whatever reason, your existing SIM is unsuitable or won't work with your new phone.

If your existing SIM will work, then you are indeed correct to say you can insert it and use it. There is no requirement to use the activate & use the new SIM unless you have cause to.
