Hi

I'm raising this again in a different forum to see if I can get anywhere. Fours years ago or so a new mast was erected a mile away on top of a hill. I thought now I'll get a great signal...the coverage map said I should with my iphone 5. I didnt. After a long conversation with a tekky at EE it turned out that I needed to upgrade to an iphone 6 at least. (something to do with frequency...I didnt understand at the time) I did upgrade bingo 5 bars!! I recently upgraded again and passed the iphone 6 on to my wife. I set it up for her but her PAYG sim gets no signal in the phone that worked fine with my contract sim. Her sim in my new Samsung no service my sim in her phone works fine. In April it was suggested that her sim might be faulty so I was sent a replacement...same result. I had a "chat" with EE last night and he queried if her sim was 3G as 3G coverage was poor here but 4G (from the "new" mast was excellent.) For aanyone who is more mobile savvy than me (everybody!) My postcode is HS9 5UW and the newish mast location is Beinn Nan Carnan. I'd be grateful for any help.....because for the last four days the EE booster box that we were given years ago because we were in a poor signal area has stopped working. Back in April I spent a long time on the phone and the replacement sim was the only solution offered.

Cheers

Rob

Thank you - it really is as simple as that? I'll get her a little contract.

Cheers

Rob

Just had this issue bought a payg for when I went fishing as my friends all get signal with ee pay monthly. So thought I would get a payg just for that reason but when going up I lost signal for the full weekend and my mates all had a fairly decent one even they could use out on the loch. Didn't realise as a paygo customer you didn't get the same service. Basically got told to move onto a pay monthly to try but only go fishing every 3 weeks or so don't see the point in paying a monthly sim. Yet you would think it would as its the same mast we are bouncing off of
