Upgrade payg sim to 4g

Hi just a quick question which I can’t seem to find an answer to, I have a payg sim that I’ve had for years which is a 3G sim. Is it possible to upgrade this to a 4g whilst keeping the same phone number? I will get a different number if that’s what I need to do but would rather keep the same one to save hassle. Yes you will be able to keep the same number when you get a new sim.

Probably the easiest and quickest way to do this is to pop into an EE store. They will be able to provide you with a new sim and move your old number over on to the new sim.
