motorola razr cant setup no qr code?

hi just recieved my new motorola razr, got to the screen where it says scan qr code to connect to carrier, I have no code in the box and spoke to ee on the phone they have no idea what to do!! Any ideas anyone its an upgrade so my old number needs to be connected to this phone, any help asap please

The Moto Razr uses and esim, so you’ll need to order an esim (scan the QR code) and then do a sim swap from you current sim to the esim.

Surely if the phone is purely a esim phone EE and every other network should provide the QR code automatically with the order so they can set up soon as they receive the device.

Now they have to wait for it to be posted.

I was on the phone an hour to ee tonight, no joy they hadn't got a clue, so I went on chat and the great person sorted it and is sending it in the post, bit peed off to be honest as I got the phone today and probably can't use it till next week.

I did an early upgrade so same number etc they just never sent a qr code! Which would have been useful!

Could you not book an appointment to go into a store and have a QR code printed there and scanned?

I don't know if this is an option or not though as I don't have a phone with an esim
