EE won't port nos between contracts. So you need to 1st port your existing no to another network's PAYG using a PAC from EE & then in reverse port it back to your new contract. This will also have the effect of cancelling your old contract.

You could alternatively "upgrade" your old contract to PAYG & then ask EE to transfer the no to your new contract.

My EE contract expired months ago, but whilst looking for a new phone I have remained with EE on a monthly rolling basis. I have just found a new phone to purchase on a third-party website (affordable mobiles).

Do I have to get a PAC code from EE to port over to a different network AND then ring EE to cancel my current monthly-rolling contract (giving them 30 days notice) before I can buy the new phone from Affordable mobiles? Any help is much appreciated!

Many thanks for your speedy response. I will report back if I stumble on any further issues But after porting my current number onto a PAYG sim I will then reverse port my existing number back to EE when the new phone arrives!
