iPad eSIM with existing plan

Hello,

My company currently owns a "Bus 60GB £59 24M" plan with a physical SIM (used in an iPhone).

Is it possible to activate an eSIM in an iPad, linked to the same plan (without getting a new number) ? I think it is an option for smart watches and was wondering if the same could apply to an iPad.
