Does anyone know why my 4G Mobile connection is now routed through UK2.net? It is slower to make an initial connection. Previously the connection was always through EE.

Do a manual search of network operators for EE.

Hi Bristolian

Until 15 August my speed checker identified my provider as EE. Which is quire correct, and what I pay for.

On 19 August the provider was identified as UK2.net and the initial connection time was slow.

I called EE but they blamed my PPoE dish.

Is there a connection between EE and UK2.net? Why has there been a changed I have not been informed about etc.

Any ideas for changing back to EE?

Regards

Clarkenhauser

At an educated guess, you're connecting using an IP address that was previously a UK2 one and has either been recently reallocated or only just brought live by EE

This normally corrects itself within a short time, and has no functional impact on your service other than some lookups (such as this speed-test) being incorrect in the meantime.

Which speed checker are you using? Try a diff 1 & see if that correctly IDs your network.

UK2.net is a domain host not a mobile network & nowt to do with EE.
