Sorry to bump this thread but I kind of have the same questions as you and I wonder, did you ever breach the limit? And what happened, if anything?

Hi, yeah I did breach it the first 7 days by design. I phoned to see what would be the consequences. It seems very vague. Nobody I spoke to about it really knew what would happen long term. One told me I'd be traffic shaped, the speed would be restricted but it doesn't say that in the t&C's, another said I'd be contacted and might eventually have to pay more, they couldnt tell me how much it might be which sounds bizarre.

So I ended up cancelling as I decided it wasn't worth the battle later down the line.

@TheSkyMayBe This thread is when EE had 1000 GB unlimited tariffs ( I know that make no sense ) but they are now 600Gb tariffs. There was a a fraction of customers that went over 600 gig when they had 1000 gig limits so EE reduced it to 600Gb.

I spotted that it had changed to 600gb, looks like the term is pretty similar and still fairly vague.

”We will consider usage above 600GB/month to be non-personal use and have the right to apply traffic management controls to deprioritise your mobile traffic during busy periods or to move you to a business plan.”

Do they tell you they are applying measures?

When are the busy periods?

Are they set times of day or could they happen at any point?

What does EE consider busy?

What type of traffic will be throttled?

Can they just move you to a business plan without notice?

If so which one and at what cost?

These are just some of the questions questions that could really do with being clarified in the Ts&Cs.
