It could be either:

EE "Unlimited" data plans aren't really unlimited but subject to a personal use FUP of 600GB pm & you've used it all up this month.

The msg isn't just You have run out of data" but "You've run out of data you may gift". Only the 1st 100GB of your data in a month you may potentially gift to other nos. on your a/c if you choose to. Once you've used that 100GB at the beginning of the month by any means you may no longer gift data. You may safely ignore this warning & carry on using data for your own purposes including hotspotting.

It does that on UL Data Plans, normally when your using the Web Account Login, comes up in Red Text "you've run out of Data", normally happens when your using A N Other WiFi to Login or you have Old Cookies stored in your Browser.

Just ignore it, it's incorrect or use the EE Phone App or use the Web Link http://add-on.ee.co.uk/status it will tell you you still have UL Data.
