It is unusual for a DNS not to respond. I doubt that is the reason.

What're the problems you're having using your EE device? Perhaps if you explain what you're trying to do, and what's happening, we may be able to advise further.

Has your problem been solved? A few days ago I had this kind of error. I have followed the steps from this article (especially the flash DNS cache part) and my problem has been fixed. You can try it yourself. Hopefully, your problem will also be solved.
