and there is nothing stopping you from having a lower tariff and then once you realise you need more data you can increase that allowance by paying more for it ? I’m sure your aware that you’ve used 8Gb previously so your tariff was about right at that time. It’s only when you don’t use more data you think there should be a change.

No one is telling you that you have to like EE's policy or that you can't leave.

Thats down to you and your own personal choice. You can choose to go if you wish we or EE won't stop you but EE's policy on data is not to roll it over which you knew about when you signed up. It doesn't matter if your circumstances has changed you signed a contract knowing the full facts and agreed to it for a minimum of 12/24 months depending on what tariff you have.

As already stated Skys contracts are not 12 or 24 months.

Their Swap12 is 24 month contract

Their Swap24 is a 36 month contract. They also do break down the phone and tariff payments but if you look closely they way over charge for the phones.

A Galaxy Fold2 5G on Sky is £2220 everywhere else its at it's RRP of £1799

The data roll over requests for EE to offer this is because one or two MVNO networks started to offer it a year or so ago.

And EE may adopt it.

Sky now allows their customers to gift data to other people on their account.

EE started it. But EE's system is better, because with Sky you can't gift your allowance you can only gift if you have data saved up in their PiggyBank
