iPhone 12 not accessing data

Just upgraded to iPhone 12 from the xr. My new phone won’t access mobile data at all. I’ve waited over 24hrs and tried restarting and resetting the network settings. It’s not done anything.

when selecting mobile data in the settings all it has is an option to add a new data plan.

Are you using your old SIM with your new upgraded device?
