Minimal use Data

My iPad 4 started in 2015 with a 25Mb sim card, which has only been used for a couple of contacts in all that time and only then a couple of Mb used. I had the Sim not appreciating that a Sim Card was to make a connection when Wi-Fi was not available and I have always managed to find A wI-Fi link all but those odd occasions.

Now I'm looking to buy an Android tablet as I dont feel that Apple has that much more to offer, but with only minimal data use for those odd times, it does not seem right to be paying £13 every month (£156 pa) . Is there a system where a sim card can be purchased that has a 50Mb or 1GB data, but remains 'alive' whilst that data is used up over time, not paying more each month? Then buy another if needs be?

All of our tablet offers can be found in our online shop.

The price plans will all be standard plans and come with a set amount of data.

Thanks Jon,

Looking for Samsung S7 Tablet 11" but prices do vary a lot and I believe
that EE may not have this one. Anyway, The Sim card will be an
afterthought if I buy one at all. I have has a few years on a 25Mb
contract with EE and on only a couple of months over years have I used
any data, preferring Wi-Fi. May go for Sim only PAYG this time.
