Hi guys need some help. I have the unlimited ee Wi-Fi 3G/4g home router. I run the cat 5 cable into a TP link wall plug to chuck the signal around the house but befor it goes into the wall I feed it through and apple AirPort Extreme. Now apple don’t make routers anymore and don’t provide updates. So I’m guessing that’s why I don’t have a good connection. Could you advise on either a decent wall plug or a something else that would be able to pass the Wi-Fi around the house. The house is large and old so the only way I can cheaply transmit the signal is to use a wall plug. If you have any better ideas would be grateful.

point number 2 during the day my download is 45mb upload is about 5mb at night it’s terrible and unusable ie 0.5mb download and upload doesn’t exist. Any ideas

Hi @Teffhead ,

In addition to the above good advice, I highly recommend Devolo powerline adapters with a WiFi access point built-in at the far end.

You can also buy two Devolo powerline adapters, both with no WiFi functionality, and then add a WiFi access point as you like.

Some people disapprove of my recommending the Devolo brand but I've used them for over a decade, and several generations of devices have proved themselves production-ready in the home.

Beware of using a WiFi backhaul or repeater to solve a WiFi signal problem.
