Hello,

I have been using my 4gee mini for about a month. All was good then suddenly it’s not working and all of the blue lights are on solid. I’ve tried resetting it with the r button, turned it on and off a number of times and even held the power button for 30 odd seconds with no change. Can anyone help please?
thanks.

I hope you're well and having a nice day, other than this issue of course.

When you say you tried resetting it with the R button, is that the one you need a pin for?

Thanks

Hi Chris,

Yes I think it’s the reset button under the battery cover. Yes you need a pin for it.

Many thanks

Pat

When you pressed this reset button, did you press and hold it for around 15 seconds?

Did you get an answer to this? I've come away on holiday and my 4g WiFi mini is doing the same thing. It was fine when I set it up Wednesday but now I just have solid blue lights across the board. I've tried resetting it on battery and on charge, with and without the SIM card in. Nothing works. Is it bricked??

I'm in the UK, not that I see how that would make a difference to how the lights and box react when being switched on. I've found some people on other forums say they were told by EE technical support that their boxes with bricked when they had the same problem, and this seems to be quite a common issue with the mini WiFi units. I have my receipt and contract with me so will try and take it to an EE store to get a replacement over the weekend. Not impressive from a hardware point of view that it breaks immediately though.

I chatted to the tech guru and she said that it is a fault that they are aware of and working on a fix. She said that an update will come to the device to fix it. I switch it on every now and then and leave it on but no change. I'm going to take it back and get my money back. I put the sim into an old phone my brother gave me.

Thanks. I spoke to tech support too like the other chap suggested. She couldn't really help beyond saying it sounded like a faulty unit and then found lots of other examples of cases with the same issues. She said I would have to take it back to the point of purchase, which sort of negated the whole point of getting it for a holiday I'm currently on. I tried my luck at the local EE store where I'm staying and they were really accommodating and swapped out the unit for a replacement for me (luckily my wife had packed the receipt and contract, not knowing if I needed any of it to get the box working!). All sorted in the end but only thanks to talking to someone IN person.
