No, not the WiFi keys / passwords but the WiFi network names. Are they the same for 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz? If they are not usually the 5GHz name wlll contain "5GHz".

I have decided to use EE4G broadband in my new build property as the normal "fibre" broadband is unreliable in our location. I have installed an exterior antenna which has improved the signal connection to the router...I have connected my Apple Macbook to the router no problem...however, my wife and I each have an iPhone which we cannot connect to the wifi, the phones find the router, but when we type in the router wifi key it just says "enter the correct password for router"...we've had this since January and still haven't been able to use it.

I have done the Settings / General / Reset / Reset Network Settings.....tried again and it still won't connect.

Any help would be appreciated.

Is that the mains powered 4GEE Home Router? Are the 2.4 GHz and the 5 GHz SSIDs merged? Can you separate them?

Yes, it is mains powered....the 2.4GHz and 5GHz share the same wifi key...if that means merged?

@Alpino500 You don’t need to separate them at all your iPhones will connect to either signal just like your MacBook can. If you’ve got your Mac connected and you have your name and number saved in your contacts on your Mac and your iPhone you should just have to put your iPhone near your Mac when that’s connected to the router and you should see a pop up on the Mac that allows you to share then network passwords/connection to your iPhone.

Please have a read of THIS as it will guide you through this.
