I have been told to reset my ee 4gee wifi device now it will not recognise any sim at all. Even if I put my ee sim inside it says No sim.

Please kindly assist

@rmesmail Have you put the sim in the correct way round ? If it says no sim it means there is no sim in it or it cannot read the sim because it has not made contact with the sim contacts. Ie it’s in upside down.

rmesmail.. one other aspect of the sim - with my 4G router the sim must be pushed FULLY into the slot in order for it to be retained. Once properly inserted the sim should not be poking out of the slot.

Sim LOCK is forbidden!

How can I unlock my device I have the unlock code but it will not allow me as I have used all the 10 attempts.

Is it asking for your SIM unlock or PUK code?

rmesmail.. Just so we can work out what is happening here, where did you get this device? - and who advised you to re-set it?

Alcatel who makes the wifi device ee supplier told me to try and rest it.

I had a 2 year contract with ee during my contract my device went for repair from the ee shop and they sent back a different device when my contract ended I was given the unlock code for the old IMEI number which was still on their system hence, my 10 attempts have been used then when I properly checked inside it was different IMEI. I have the unlock code but it says:

sim LOCK is forbidden!

ee can't do anything and are saying speak to Alcatel.

Does it let you log in to the menu via 192.168. blah blah, if so do another Full Factory Reset within that Menu.
