You can't run EE routers as modem-only.

Hi everyone, as the title says. I’m due to move house possibly in a week or two, haven’t had a confirmed date yet.

The quickest broadband (uk) I can get is EE 4g, I have an eero setup at the minute which has been rock solid and I want to keep this.

At my current address it had an easy setup because I’m with virgin media, just set the router to modem mode and that was it.

What would I do for an EE 4g router? I assume it’ll be simple enough to log into the router with the IP address and disable WiFi if that’s my only option.

I assume it’s a modem and router built into one unit like the majority of uk broadband.

Like I say I haven’t moved in yet, I’m just preparing for when I do.

If anyone could be of help it would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks everyone, have a great day!

Eero themselves have said I’d have to bridge the upstream on the EE router, if possible.

is this something I can do?

Yeah I sorta gathered that, what’s the solution then? I know I can put the eero in bridge mode but I’m not sure what I can do with the EE router

Putting the Eero in Bridge Mode should avoid the double NAT.

That’s great thanks, Will I need to do anything with router itself then? I assume turn off WiFi for starts
