I have used my top up card at a local shop, and my account shows I am now in credit. I want to convert this credit into data. When I go into my account and press top up, I am sent to a credit card payment page. I do not need to use a credit card as I already have credit. I just want to convert this credit in my account to usable data. How do I do this?

Thanks, your solution worked, however I am disappointed that such a basic and simple process caused me so much trouble. I will be leaving EE as soon as I can find something better.
