Hitachi TV - No connection

My 4GEE happily connects to my phone and laptop but it will not connect to my new Hitachi TV. The 4GEE is recognised by the TV, goes to connect to it, and then disconnects about 6 seconds later. 6 seconds later it tries to reconnect and so on and so on.

Does this mean that my TV is incompatible with the 4GEE and that it needs to go back?
