Second hand EE mini wifi

Hell

i was gifted a second hand mini wifi the sim was on contract can I remove the sim and place a pay as you go sim if so will the device accept a pay as you go sim ? Or do I have to have the device unlocked?

Hi @Fas52.

Welcome to the community.

Whoever gave you the WiFi mini may still be paying for the SIM if it's still active, so you may want to ask them to check it's cancelled.

You can use a pay as you go SIM card in this device as long as it's EE, as the device will be locked to EE.

Alternatively, you can request for it to be unlocked.

Thankyou no longer paying for the sim so should be okay to replace the sim with an EE pay as you go without unlocking.
