To get IPv4 and IPv6 you have to do a bit of sequence, follow the steps here and see how you go with it:

https://github.com/jamesmacwhite/hh70-ee/wiki/IPv6-support

For some reason under IPv4v6, no IPv6 prefix is allocated by default, you have to switch the data connection type to IPv6 and disconnect and reconnect, then switch it back to IPv4v6 and reconnect it's explained in a bit more detail above.

You will get a /64 with no prefix delegation. You do not need to set it to IPv6 mode only, you just have to force it. I don't know why it's like this with the 4GEE Home Router, mobile devices just do it without issues.

So as i now know, with EE's 4G wifi, IPv4 has a CGNAT which restricts you when playing online multiplayer games. ive read up that using IPv6 could help with these problems. EE has told me that they do support IPv6 but i cant seem to get any access to enable it on the BT 4G router. Is this at all possible and if so how?

Thanks

Its a 4G BT router supplied by EE for their 4G WIFI. They have informed me that they use IPv4 and IPv6 but dont see an option on the BT router options to enable IPv6.

Login to your MBB router at http://192.168.1.1 with username/pwd as "admin"/"admin" or with the password found under the battery cover. Then look at its Profile/APN for anything to do with IPv4/6.

James.. I have a 4GEE router, under 'set up' click 'Data Connection'. My router was preset to IPV4v6 though you can choose IPv4 OR IPv6 separately if you prefer.

the EE & BT versions of the router are identical apart from the colour.

The EE version seems to be discontinued and has been replaced with the BT version BT 4G Home Router.
