Hi Elijah. I have a fairly new 4G Router and use about 100GB a month. I have monitored the use over the first few weeks and this is what I found..

For mostly static web browsing, emails, shopping sites etc you would probably only use 1-2 GB per day. What bumps the data use up is streaming.. Netflix/TV catchup, Youtube clips, HQ music streaming, Skype/Zoom meetings etc

To give you an idea.. this morning my wife has had a 2hr Zoom session, I watched a few youtube & sports film clips and together with general internet use we have used 6GB already today. Hope that helps.👍

Good morning,

Recently moved and the wire broadband here is truly awful but the 4G signal is superb so I opted for a 4G mobile broadband setup. The speed and signal strength is fantastic. However, after squeezing out my average data usage from my previous supplier (BT) which was about 8-16gb a month they tried to sell me a 30gb plan. I would of gone for it however they could only offer a 24months plan. I wanted something shorter as fibre will be installed here in the next 12 months. Therefore I opted for the 100bg package from EE as it looked like a really good deal and I wouldn't have an issue with data usage. To my horror last night, I was notified that my data had ran out. Just come up to the 3 week mark and I haven’t changed how I use my data. I only stream non HD videos in the evening and a bit of youtube at lunch sometimes. This doesn’t seem right to me as my work phone is 20gb and I stream stuff all day and seldom come close to running out. Is this right or wrong? I’m a bit stumped.
