You don't need a landline service but you do need a line, copper or fibre depending what is available in your area.

Hi @Damien69trease ,

If there is no OpenReach line to your property and you cannot get one, as in my case, you can choose to go for 4G LTE broadband which EE happens to be able to provide. Other options are shown below.
