I have a Brightbox router. Internet is working. I cannot connect to it via 192.168.1.1 however. I have not changed any settings as far as I know that would cause this to change, but the connection to the router times out every time.

Is there another way to connect to the box? Any reasons spring to mind why this could be the case?

I have rebooted both the router and my laptop. Connecting over WiFi.

Any help is appreciated.

-J

Do you see its login window when you go to http://192.168.1.1 ? Are you presenting it with the admin username as "admin" with the admin password on the label on the back of the router? Not mixing it up with the WiFi pwd?

As you've already tried a reboot, now try a factory reset with a pin in the reset hole at the back for about 5 secs.
