@HowW the simplest way to stop these type of calls is to use a Call Blocker phone.

Some providers are able to provide tools to block some calls, but it is not a service that EE normally provides.

Thankfully providers have been instructed to block more of the calls coming in from overseas call centres, but I suspect they will find ways round this - hence the call blocker phone suggestion.

You can enter the numbers of people you know that allows the phone to ring straight away, other wise they have to press a number - which the call centre software can't cope with - but other genuine callers can do.

My elderly father is receiving a nuisance call on his landline from what appears to be the same person- they always ask for someone who has never lived at the property and ring about every 2 weeks. How can we block the number that they are calling from? We are very uncomfortable that despite the caller having been told on numerous occasions that they appear to have the wrong number they persist in harassing him. Please help.

Hi @HowW

I am sorry to hear he is receiving these calls.

I would suggest getting in touch with our Broadband team on 0800 079 8586 and they will go through available options 🙂

Thanks.
