Hi Community, I have a Fibre Plus Broadband package with a standard EE modem. I would like to upgrade the modem as it doesn't reach all the parts of my house, and someone suggested that other makes will have far superior reach. I don't really want to go down the route of signal extenders as that just creates another point of failure to reboot...

My first question was how do I know if my connection is VDSL? My download speed is generally in the 60-70mbps range, so I guess it is, but have never seen mention of this term before. I have twisted pair into the house.

Secondly, I guess, any suggestions of modems in the £100-£150 range that are ac (Wifi6)

As long as your BB is supplied from a standard master phone socket on the wall & not a FTTP ONT modem, you do have VDSL2 (FTTC) BB.

There are not many WiFi 6 modem routers around yet. An Asus DSL-AX82U would be a suitable replacement having WiFi 6.
