Thanks for the reply and I will take onboard. I have now been told that my fibre will be FTTC without a copper line so I will be looking at a VOIP connection from another provider.

Thanks

I have been an EE customer with broadband for many years and considering upgrading to basic fibre. My current network is a central area consisting of a phone patch panel and a draytek 2860 router feeding 6 ethernet wired outlets which includes 2 additional wifi routers to get coverage over the whole house.

If I change and replace one of the wifi routers with the smarthub and link the draytek from the smarthub to provide connectivity can the smarthub load balance 2 links as my OTN will likely be where one the wifi routers is situated some 8mtrs from the draytek.

I know the draytek will load balance but cannot find anything on the smarthub.

I don't think the EE SH has any particular load balance facilities; it just routes. As you have an ONT you are not moving to basic fibre (FTTC) but to more advanced FTTP. Practically any router will do for that. So why don't you just continue using the Draytek 2860 as your main (WAN) router & hang the EE SH?

If you have an ONT there you can't be on FTTC but on FTTP.

What does BT Wholesale Broadband Availability Checker 's Address Checker estimate for your addy? Post just the whole table and the line above it, blanking out your addy.
