It’s my personal site www.itsupyoursleeve.com.

As per Bens original post, it wont load on and devices using home Wifi but will elsewhere on other peoples. Loads ok on 4G however and if i use a VPN. The weird thing is that on my PC and laptop it loads ok and both of them are using wifi also.

EE say its nothing they can do as the wifi is working ok and my web host say its nothing they can do as the site is working. Ive not had issues with any other sites.

There is clearly something that is suddenly blocking it but I don’t know where to start to unblock it. I have also reset the router to factory settings in hope that that would resolve it but had no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

....oh yeah and before you mention it I’ve tried every magic word there is!

@Itsupyoursleeve : Works OK from here over EE BB from both a wired PC & a WiFi mobile.

Are you saying it works OK from your WiFi PCs but not from other devices? What devices are they?

Which router have you?

Yeah no issues with pc or laptop it just seems to be iPhones, iPads and Samsung phone.

@Itsupyoursleeve : Just a guess as it's a combination of EE SH, WiFi & mobiles but try separating the wireless channels. On the Advanced / Wireless Settings page of the SH there is a button near the top to Separate the Bands. Turn it ON. Then the 5GHz SSID will appear starting with "5GHz-" & the 2.4 GHz SSID not starting with "5GHz-". Then connect your devices to the 2.4 GHz SSID if they can't do 5GHz.

It just says safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server

and the site can’t be reached on my Samsung work phone. Chrome states error connection refused.

There are two important steps to accessing a website: 1) name resolution of the domain name; and 2) routing to the IP address the domain name resolves to.

I recommend debugging each of these two steps separately as conflating them leads to confusion.

I suspect your issue will be 1). You can resolve the domain name on a system where the website works and try the IP address on the system where the website appears not to be accessible.

Thanks for that it seems like a step in the right direction to try, now the big question lol, how the hell do I go about doing that? You could say ‘I’m a bit fick!’ when it starts getting technical but I am good at following instructions.....I’m married! 😝

Do you know the IP addy of your site? Instead of typing the domain addy, www.itsupyoursleeve.com , into a browser, type that IP addy from the devices that are not working at present.

You may use nslookup under Windows to resolve a name. Under Linux, you may additionally use dig and may check various name servers.

It's worth googling DNS and name resolution, assuming name resolution is your issue.

Once you have the IP address, you can check the website works when accessed purely by IP.
