Well I just cannot believe the incompetence of this company after been released from my mobile phone contract just over a month ago now. I have just received an email with a survey saying , We're really sorry you've decided to cancel your EE Broadband. What the heck is going on with this shower. 😡 Roll on February when the contract does end.

Your landline & possibly BB has either been slammed or you're selling your home & the buyers have applied to some ISP, not necessarily EE, to take it over. In either case it could be 2 weeks before you lose both. If you don't want that to happen you should reply to EE before then saying you don't agree for it to be taken over.

Slamming is when someone else unbeknownst to the owner applies to take over a landline. Anybody can do this & nobody need inform the owner except that the existing ISP will write such a "Sorry to see you go" letter. EE don't know it's not you who applied to another ISP. Hence that letter. See Phone or broadband switching without consent - Ofcom
